The infamous Ship2Ship tour is back in the New Year and ready to take the Hoxton by storm! Every year between the January and February Holy Ship! tours, Destructo brings some of his favorite artists on tour to some of the most major cities in North America, bringing the Holy Ship tour vibes with him! You can expect everyone to be dressed in Hawaiian shirts, sailor attire, and I can promise things will get a tad freaky.
Rezz will be opening for our Focus Friday, and honestly nobody could be anymore appropriate to do so. She’s been on a releasing spree this year, and has attained her goals of playing live sets with almost completely original tracks. With the support of Skrillex, Deadmau5, and now Destructo, there’s no telling where Rezz will go from here; the possibilities are endless. But as for now, I can tell you that the Hoxton will be packed again for her dark industrial sounds.
DirtyBird artist Justin Martin will be joining us for some of the best urban house beats. Claude Von Stroke – the king of Dirty Bird Records – just passed through Toronto in October, but without the Dirty Bird BBQ lineup, which usually features many artists from their label such as the Martin brothers. Now some of that void will be filled with the presence of Justin Martin! His remixes especially, are killer, while his mixing creates an urban vibe – perfect for Toronto.
Every time Destructo plays at the Hoxton in the New Year he brings not only the best talent, but the best vibes. He parties as if he’s still on the cruise ship, so be sure to expect lots of pineapples everywhere throughout the night. Mixing G House will never sound as smooth as when Destructo lays it down. I’ve been to the past 2 Ship2Ship tours and they have been some of my most memorable nights at the Hoxton EVER. You’re not going to want to miss this!
