2015 was a busy year for Fear the Priest, with a large number of releases containing his signature acid, dark techno sound. Tracks such as “The Tweaker”, Crystal Castles‘ track “Empathy [Fear The Pries† Acid Remix]” and my personal favourite “Salem Sandwiches”, really showcase the variety and production capabilities that Fear the Priest can dish out. He ended 2015 with a big 2 track EP titled “No Future” which truly captures Fear the Priest’s essence as an artist.
The first track appropriately named “Acid Future” has Fear the Priest written all over it; an acid synth and gritty bass line with dark techno vibes all throughout the tune. The low mysterious vocals give the song that extra dirty touch that ties the track together.
The second track available Beatport, is a groovy, more uptempo track with hints of bass house elements throughout. ‘Wicked Future’ also consists of 8-bit sounds that can be found in other of his works along with a hypnotizing acid bass.
2016 started off with a bang for Fear the Priest with his impressive remix of Mvrie Celeste’s track “pØd 10V3” , released early January right here on Euphoradio. Expect big things from him and listen out for the year of Black Techno.
Purchase his EP here on Beatport.
