Embrace Presents a crazy local lineup headlined by Rezz with fellow Toronto local duo Nu Alias, plus Hamilton talent Agno3 and Mathematic as the openers. There are so many reasons to be exited about this show; it’s Rezz’s first headlining show in Toronto, every time Nu Alias plays at the Hoxton they are one step closer to headlining, and it’s Agno3 & Mathematic’s Hoxton debut! Watching all of these artists grow over the past year in particular has been exciting, but this show marks another checkpoint for all of their careers.
If you’re unfamiliar with Mathematic, he’s one of the headliners at Hamilton’s EDM Festival VIII Fest, Juno Fest, Super Crawl After Party, and has played at The Underground (Club 77 complex). He captures the industrial sounds inspired by Gesaffelstein, and the live house energy of Justice. His sets are hard-hitting, retro, and dance-worthy. You’d be a fool to not arrive when the doors open for his set.
Agno3 is known for his iconic track with Mr. Fijiwiji featuring angelic vocals of Laura Brehm, with over half a million plays on Monstercat’s soundcloud. Since then, Agno3 has come a long way, playing sets at VIII Fest in Hamilton, Digital Nightmares, Super Crawl, Juno Fest, HRC events at Club 77, Low Frequency in Toronto, and Garden of Eden 2015. With an album on the way, who knows what unreleased tracks he may drop!
Nu Alias is a proud duo from Toronto, and reppin’ the 6 extremely well in terms of the deep & bass house genres. They’ve played many venues in Toronto such as Cabal, Tattoo, Supermarket, and many times at The Hoxton – including No Neon. With all this experience under their belt as well as an ever-growing repertoire, there is no doubt their upcoming set before Rezz will set a new bar for their music careers. Check out their latest single below!
Rezz has come a long way over the course of 2015: from playing gigs around the GTA to being on lineups like Holy Ship!, Decadence Arizona, HARD Day of the Dead, and TomorrowWorld, just to name a few. She has the support of Hunter Siegel, Skrillex, Deadmau5, and Destructo. It’s long overdue but Rezz finally has her headlining show in Toronto, and what better venue than The Hoxton. You can expect an almost 100% original set, with a very industrial sound and progressive builds, followed by hard-hitting drops. Check out her latest track released on OWSLA.
