Festival season 2019 has officially come to an end, and many partygoers are dealing with some bittersweet emotions. This past weekend Toronto's very own Electric Island concluded its seventh season of fun in the sun with artists Joris Voorn, Claude Vonstroke & more.
Season 7 for the Electric Island team has been a challenging one but due to the recent Live Nation acquisition of Embrace the festival was able to relocate to a venue that fits it stature. Sprawled across the West Island of the former amusement park Ontario Place, attendees were spoiled with panoramic views of Lake Ontario and a picturesque view of Toronto's CN Tower and accompanying skyline. Many attendees embraced the new venue location stating that it was more accessible than Hanlan's point & that both the Main stage and Moog Stage were able to achieve their own unique sound and vibe without any interference.
Electric Island is one of the few festivals that has been able to cater to an entire Genre's audience with a diverse line-up that features some of the biggest artists of 2019, along with an amazing local line up that showcases Toronto's very own DJs and producers. This lethal combo attributes to the festival's continued success every season and has become the epicentre of an esteemed community that is proud to support its own.
It is clear that Its focus is the community, the music & The arts.
Now that season seven has come to a close it signifies the end of summer for all of us. After another successful year, we are excited to see what the electric Island team has planed for its eighth season in 2020. If you're still looking for that techno fix be sure to check coda's killer fall roster as we head into arguably the best season for club events in toronto. Euphoradio would like to extend thanks to Coda, platform, footwork, lcpr, & Embrace for their continued support & love for all things dance music.
