Labour Day Electric Island may Actually be on the Island

Electric Island Closes Out The Season On Toronto’s Island (Finally!)

Embrace, WAY OF ACTING, and Platform presents the final installment of Electric Island this Labour Day weekend! The two day event is set to kick off Sunday September 3rd and finish Monday evening by 10:30pm. After a very rain-filled season, the previous Electric Islands this year were held at other locations due to a flooded Toronto Island. All 3 previous events were originally set for Hanlan’s Point until Electric Island finally announced the week leading up said events that the island could not hold the festival and would have to be moved. Since the beginning of August the Greater Toronto Area has had significantly less rainfall, and it appears patrons will actually be able to enjoy the beauty Toronto Island has to offer before the festival series comes to a close for 2017.

Day 1 of Electric Island has a lineup of Claude Vonstroke, Chris Liebing, Dusky, Sonny Fodera, Simon Jain and Brian Johnson on the main stage, and favourite locals Nitin, Gab Rhome, My Favorite Robot, CRi, and Sam Haze on the second stage.

Day 2 features headliners Sven Vath, Dixon, The Black Madonna, Yotto, Jamie Kidd, and Terence Kissner on the main stage. The locals stage will have Mall Grab, Soul Clap, Jeff Button, and Koki.
