Hunter Siegel’s No Neon Boat Cruise Returns for a Second Voyage on July 27th, 2019
The No Neon Boat Cruise is back on July 27th, and they just announced the official lineup! The upper deck will have Hunter Siegel, Omnom, Vnssa and Rainer & Grimm perform. Meanwhile the lower deck will have local artists from the Toronto After Dark community such as Al G, Cesario and Michael Parker. The boat will be boarding at 6pm sharp, as it takes off for an evening on the lake with no decibel limits and a whole lot of bass.
The No Neon event series founder himself Hunter Siegel is playing on the boat cruise for this monumental evening on the lake. Hunter started No Neon in January 2015 at The Hoxton which is now closed. Since then, No Neon has hopped around Toronto playing at venues like CODA, One Loft and Velvet Underground. Hunter is known for curating the lineup for every No Neon event, carefully selecting trendy artists who also help pave the way in the genres of bass and deep house.
San Francisco-based artist OmNom is a notable artist from Dirty Bird Records, Box Cat Records and Brooklyn collective OKNF. His most recent event announcements include Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Forest and EDC Mexico. His style is coined as “a whirlpool of weird” with fun vocals over funk bass lines. He is supported by massive artists like Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, Ardalan, and Kyle Watson. Now Hunter Siegel is taking him under his wing as OmNom joins the upper deck lineup.
Vnssa is an L.A. based artist who plays music all across the house spectrum. Her music is dark and glitchy but she constantly adapts her sound in live sets to the lineup and the vibe. She’s collaborated with artists Walker & Royce and Eric Mark, and played at events like Dirty Bird Campout and this upcoming Lightning in a Bottle. She will be joining the headliner’s stage on the upper deck this July for the No Neon Boat Cruise!
Rainer & Grimm
Toronto local duo Rainer & Grimm are a deep house act who are influenced by dark bass. Their sound pays homage to the beginning of Tchami‘s career while influenced by the nightlife scene here in Toronto. Their sound is deep and groovy, with melodic vocals and clean edits. They have played at Digital Dreams Festival 2016 and No Neon’s Dundas Square Block Party in 2018. They are back at No Neon and opening up the upper deck for this legendary evening.
